FALL IS A GREAT TIME TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!
More time staying inside out of the cold means it's a good time for "indoor Artists" like myself. So, I decided to develop a new poetic presentation style, which I am calling "Poetic Animation". This combines two of my favorite artistic forms of course. Of course poetry is not new & neither is .gif animation, but this more elaborate version of both combined together, kind of like a "cartoon short" with more heart & a deeper meaning behind the story.
What makes "Poetic Animation" different? It is basically poetry without words. What started me thinking in this direction is I had been struggling with trying to write a poem & just couldn't seem to get it right. Well, we do think in pictures not words. Having the full concept of the poem in my mind (of course mentally seeing it in a pictures like a mini-video) I figured why not do the poem in picture form, a poem without words would solve my problem! Not having access to a "film crew", a frame by frame animated .GIF seemed the perfect match for my poetic expression. This is a somewhat time consuming process but I found it to be really fun creating my story in pictures.
This month seemed the perfect time to share my first attempt at Poetic Animation as it is a poem which "walks on the dark side," I hope you enjoy it. I also made a modified downloadable "Hallows Net-Greeting Card" if you would like to share this with your Net Friends (available on my blog FREE Net-Greetings page). Please let me know what you think about this style of poetic expression. Thank you!

I have another poetic animation in the works, which I will post later in the month. LINK TO GREETING HERE

HER YOUTH WAS LAID TO REST
A young woman came to bury her heart that day,
Then the old woman rose, and just walked away.
