FROZEN MARGARITA SLUSHY
*Sugar free ~ *alcohol free
*(be advised this recipe does contain a natural level of fructose in the fruit juice & garnish)You will need
A POWER BLENDER/FOOD PROCESSOR (or any large electric frozen cocktail blender)2 Large Margarita Cocktail Glasses (or 2 of any large cocktail glass)
2 Cocktail Straws (or cut a regular straw in half)
INGREDIENTS
3 Packets (or liquid equal measure) of Truvia/SteviaOrange Blossom Honey
Natural White Grape Juice (without corn syrup)
1 Large Lemon & 1 Small Lime
1 Fresh Cleaned Ortega Chili Pepper
Pure Vanilla Extract (Bakers Quality *alcohol free)
Sparkling Water & Warm Water
Crushed Ice
Pink Sea Salt (Course ground)
Fresh Pineapple (for garnish) other options: instead use a lime, lemon or orange slice
SYRUP BASE
3 packets of Stevia, Dissolved in 2 Tbsp of warm water.When Stevia is dissolved add in 2 tsp of Orange honey & stir
add in 1 drop of Pure Vanilla Extract (Bakers Quality) & add to the following
JUICE INGREDIENTS for MARGARITA MIX
1C of chilled white grape juice, plusJuice of ½ fresh lemon, & ¼ of a fresh lime,
1/8 ounce each of very finely grated lime zest & lemon zest (outer peelings),
Mince ¼ ounce of fresh peeled & seeded Ortega chili pepper, add to juice mixture & stir all together before blending
FINAL PREPARATION
Place ¾ Cup of crushed ice into a blender,Then pour the Margarita mixture over the ice.
Add ¼ Cup of Sparkling water
With your power blender set for PULSE. Use short pulses to blend until your mix is thoroughly & evenly blended to a slushy consistency.
Pour into cocktail glasses, garnished with fresh Pineapple stick (or your favorite fruit stick)
*PERFECT PRESENTATION TIP ~ Lightly swipe the top edge of your Cocktail Glasses with a little Margarita Mix (before blending).
In a saucer lightly sprinkle course ground “Pink Sea Salt” & dip the Cocktail Glass edges into the salt before filling & garnishing.
